74/16 My Monologues & Musings : I do not judge… (Jn 12:47)

74/16 My Monologues & Musings : I do not judge… (Jn 12:47)
“If anyone hears my words but does not keep them, I do not judge that person. For I did not come to judge the world, but to save the world (Jn 12: 47)

Dear Jesus,
One of my childhood mental images of you was;
You are a Great Judge the who will come to judge the humankind and would reward the just and punish the evil.
As kids we were often threatened with God's anger and punishment if one were to do anything bad.
So I was scared of you and had a kind of fear filled reverential love.
At the same time, we were taught and told of Your mercy and compassion and of Your love for the sinners who repent.
Dear Jesus,
Now you yourself say that I don't judge someone even she/he doesn't keep your your word!
How merciful you are, Lord!
In a sense, you are trying to tell me it is not you who really judge but my own deeds do.Yes, in a sense it is right:
If I don't genuinely repent  over evil deeds I do bring down the judgement upon myself!
If i do repent your merciful love does forgive me!
Dear Jesus,
You don't  love to judge and condemn me, Do you?
Instead,
You do desire very much to forgive me and do keep waiting for my genuine repentance!
But it is my own negligence and arrogance which have kept me away from true repentance.
At times I have even toyed with the idea of overconfidence and presumed your forgiveness.
How arrogant I am!
Dear Jesus,
Thank you for your immense patience with my arrogance!
You keep forgiving me as I repent and keep forgiving others.
Thank you, Jesus! A million thanks!

Dear Jesus,
I bring before you:
Everyone of my loved ones.
Everyone of my enemies who were and are.
Everyone who loves as well as hates me.
Everyone whom I love and whom i hate.
Everyone who helps me and who don't.
Everyone whom i have lead astray.
Everyone who is sick and needs healing.
Everyone who is in despair and needs hope.
Every priest who is in need of prayers.
Everyone who has met with me!

Oh, Jesus, My Lord and My God,
I thank You,
I thank the Father,
I thank the Spirit,
For Your Unsolicited gift of life for me!
For Your Uncountable blessings for me!
For Your Unlimited Patience with me!
For Your Untold Forgiveness for me!
For Your Unflinching faith in me!
For Your Unfailing Hope in me!
For Your Unconditional Love of me!
Amen

These Reflections are neither pure scientific exegesis nor are they any highly theological explanations. They are a sort of devotional musings and monologues mainly meant for my personal renewal and spiritual growth. They are a part of my journaling as a Prodigal Priest trying to make my pilgrimage back to the Home of our Heavenly Father. As I keep holding you in my prayers and I request you to include me in yours. Thank you!
