24/16 My Monologues & Musings : “ We have found the Messiah ” ( Jn 1:29-42)

24/16 My Monologues & Musings :  “We have found the Messiah. “(Jn 1:29-42)

“The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, “Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world! This is the one I meant when I said, ‘A man who comes after me has surpassed me because he was before me.’  I myself did not know him, but the reason I came baptizing with water was that he might be revealed to Israel.” Then John gave this testimony: “I saw the Spirit come down from heaven as a dove and remain on him. And I myself did not know him, but the one who sent me to baptize with water told me, ‘The man on whom you see the Spirit come down and remain is the one who will baptize with the Holy Spirit.’ I have seen and I testify that this is God’s Chosen One.”
John’s Disciples Follow Jesus
The next day John was there again with two of his disciples. When he saw Jesus passing by, he said, “Look, the Lamb of God!” When the two disciples heard him say this, they followed Jesus. Turning around, Jesus saw them following and asked, “What do you want?”They said, “Rabbi” (which means “Teacher”), “where are you staying?” “Come,” he replied, “and you will see.”So they went and saw where he was staying, and they spent that day with him. It was about four in the afternoon.  Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother, was one of the two who heard what John had said and who had followed Jesus. The first thing Andrew did was to find his brother Simon and tell him, “We have found the Messiah” (that is, the Christ).  And he brought him to Jesus. Jesus looked at him and said, “You are Simon son of John. You will be called Cephas” (which, when translated, is Peter ).

Dear Andrew and John,
Permit me to have the privilege of having  glimpse of your musings about tour meeting with the ‘Rabbi’.

Musings of Andrew and John
“A million thanks to John the Baptist, our Prophet - Master.
If not for him we wouldn't have met Jesus on that day!
From the human point of view, it was a spontaneous meeting.. It wasn't planned.
But from the Divine side it was all prep landed and scheduled that we were destined to meet Jesus the Rabbi.
At the very first sight itself we were fasinated by his magnetic personality
Oh, boy, he was irresistible!  There was something that drew us to him. As we asked him about the place he stayed,
his invitation to “Come and see” was a pleasant surprise for us!
We did talk a lot with him.
We asked many questions to him.
He listened to us with patience
He answered our questions.
He cleared our doubts.
We spent the night with him.
The more we were he talked we listened
it was getting all the more clear that has not a prophet.
There was something very different about
him.
He was clear and simple in his views.
He was very committed with convictions.
His explanations and interpretations of the Torah was based on the Compassionate Love of Yahweh!
Our hearts did warm up to him.
We became convinced that:
This young Rabbi is the Messiah!
Our initial fasination with this Young Rabbi was transformed into our intense faith in him as the Messiah!
For us, the Rabbi became the Messiah!.
We have found the Messiah.”

Dear Disciples Andrew and John,
Thank you for your musings!
You accepted his invitation.
You walked with him.
You held lively conversation with him.
How I wish to grow in my relationship with Jesus as you did!
From Rabbi to Messiah was your journey of growth and transformation!
Despite hearing and knowing about Jesus,
Despite reading and learning about Jesus, Despite teaching and preaching Jesus,
I wonder:
Whether i have consistently found and convincingly experienced:
Jesus the Rabbi as Jesus the Messiah?

Dear Jesus,
I want to experience you as my Messiah!
I want to have an everyday experience.
I want consistently experience you,
As the Messiah of my everyday life!
Despite my repeated falls and failures.
Everyday I want to kerp saying:
I have found the Messiah of my life!

Oh, Jesus, My Lord and My God,
I thank You,
I thank the Father,
I thank the Spirit,
For
Your:
Unsolicited gift of life for me!
Uncountable blessings for me!
Unlimited Patience with me!
Untold Forgiveness for me!
Unflinching faith in me!
Unfailing Hope in me!
Unconditional Love of me!
Amen

These Reflections are neither pure scientific exegesis nor are they any highly theological explanations. They are a sort of personal and devotional musings and monologues and a part of my journaling of the Prodigal Priest in me as I struggle to return to the Home of our Heavenly Father. As I keep holding you in my prayers and I request you to include me in yours.
Thank you!
