51 My Monologues : International Population Day(special edition)
Dear Loving God, Our Creator,
You did create our First Parents and mandated them to increase, multiply, and populate our Mother Earth. Ever since, we, your children have been doing it.
In course of time, we have segregated ourselves as brown, black, white and yellow; poor and rich; literate and illiterate; cruel and kind; loving and hating; emigrants and immigrants. We have fought wars with each other. We have tortured each other, killed each other. We have been victimizers and victims to each other.
We haven been at each other's throat on account of our religious beliefs. We have been trying to annihilate and ethnically cleanse each other.
From the tomes Cain and Abel, we, your children, have been vicious to each other.
Loving God our Creator,
May we,Your children, the entire global population, be inspired to live in peace and harmony by caring for each other, by sharing our economic, intellectual, emotional, and social resources with one another. May we be motivated to volunteer to help each other in times of natural and human made calamities and tragedies. May be ready to reach out irrespective of our colour, creed, caste and class.
May the entire population on earth work in unison for the all round wellbeing and welfare of the humanity.
On this International Population Day I specially think of and pray for all those people who suffer on account of their religion, economic status, gender, language, caste and class and ethnicity.
May we keep reminding ourselves that we Your Children and sisters and brothers to each other.
May we all strive to live in peace and prosperity!
