89 My Monologues & Musings : International Girl Child Day

Dear Blessed Mother,

Today is being observed as the Girl Child Day. I bring to you every girl child in the world, especially the ones in my family in the world for blessings and entrust them under your care and protection.

Dear Blessed Mother,

As you know there are hundreds of thousands of girl children who are either abused physically or emotionally or sexually.  

There are many girl children who are being abandoned by their parents or thrown out of their homes or even sold!

There are many girl children in orphanages,  in children's homes, and in rescue homes who are not properly loved and cared for.  

There are many less fortunate girl children who are being sold for various types of abuses.

There are many unfortunate girl children who are exploited as child labourers.

There are many girl children who are caught up in the web of Trafficking and Raquetering of the Underworld Mafia Gangs.

Thus there are many thousands of girl children who are mercilessly deprived of their normal and rightful childhood.

Dear Blessed Mother,

Your maternal heart must achingly be sad as you are aware of the sorry state of affairs of thousands of your girl children, right?

May they grow up safe, healthy, happy and successful and mature into loving Moms!

Dear Jesus,

You always had in your heart a big place for children, Didn't you?

Remember, Lord, you commanded a dead little girl to rise up!

Talitha cumi' you said!

meaning : 'little girl arise'

Please keep rasing every llttle girl on the face of the earth from exploitation and abuse through the selfless efforts and activities of caring and concerned people.

Jesus My Lord and My God,

I thank you for my mother who raised by her loving and caring parents.

I thank you for sister for blessing her with a safe childhood.

May every child be safe in your loving and caring hands!
